Im looking to submit an application for a busser position at a local
Black Angus Restaurant, when would be the best hour to do so?
Should I give the manager a call and display my interests and ask him/her
when they'd like me to come in?

Many decisions are made in just a few seconds. You want the manager to meet you , even if only for 1 minute. You can't do that over the phone. They might tell you to drop off the application when they aren't there. See when the manager is available... by asking one of the workers. Drop it off at the time she will be there so you can say hello. Usually mid-afternoon.

I recommend you do so between 2-4pm in the afternoon. This is a time when a restaurant is usually less busy and a good time to let the manager get a look at you. The manager may even decide to interview you on the spot.



Response: Definitely ask for the manager to hand the application to them in person. If they are not available then hand it to an employee. Some managers may tell their workers to do this for them. Still try to make a good impression, since this person may say a good word for you. You always want to be friendly, since they will judge your behavior towards them, as how you will treat the customers.
